My plumber taught me a valuable lesson

A leak fixed in 15 minutes by a plumber after 2 hours of fruitless effort. This is exactly how AI changes things in the hands of an operational expert: no magic, just time saved and more reliable results.

My plumber taught me a valuable lesson

01

The leak under the sink

In mid-August, my son calls me while I haven't yet returned from vacation.
'Dad, the water leak started again. There's water dripping from the ceiling.'

I know this leak. It forced me to repaint the entire living room ceiling.
Since I had seen the plumber do it, I thought I would change the seals myself.
I head to Casto, go back a second time because I didn't get the right wrench size.
I spend more than two hours on it. I change the seal correctly. I ask ChatGPT. Nothing. No solutions. I give up. I am forced to call the plumber back.

He comes, spends 15 minutes on it and fixes it for me. He says the faucet was damaged. It will need to be changed. I put in two seals to plug the leak.

It's as simple as can be, but I hadn't thought of it. That is what experience is.

02

It reminds me of what I do every day with AI

ChatGPT, Claude, N8N are phenomenally powerful tools, but they are only tools.
AI generates, structures, and automates at a speed humans cannot match. But you still need to know how to use it.

The expert knows exactly what to ask the machine to get an immediately usable result. They know the limitations of the models, know how to set up the right workflow, and know when a simple mathematical algorithm will be better than AI to provide a result.

Tooling without the proper technique is just dead weight in a digital toolbox.

:::pourquoi

  • Because the expert has put in the time.
  • Because they have learned from their mistakes.
  • Because they know the approaches that work.

An expert will save you weeks

At Good Morning AI, we often step in on projects bogged down in apparent technical complexity. In a recent case, an e-commerce company spent weeks trying to manually clean its catalog for a migration. A 48-hour intervention allowed for the creation of a custom AI pipeline to process 50,000 references.

Another example concerns the deployment of a customer service agent. The company had been going in circles with prompts for a month. The result was not living up to expectations. A quick audit identified that the problem wasn't the AI, but the structure of their knowledge base. By correcting the data architecture, the POC was validated in three days.

In conclusion, AI isn't the plumber, it's his wrench

Investing in the best artificial intelligence tools is a necessary step, but not a sufficient one. The true profitability of these technologies lies in the ability to intelligently integrate them into your existing processes. Just like with my leak under the sink, calling an expert is primarily about buying time, performance, and peace of mind.

Don't let your automation or content projects stagnate for lack of a precise diagnosis. The technology is ready; all that remains is to apply the right touch to unlock your growth.

Do you have a case where AI could save you hours? Let's discuss it for 30 minutes.

  1. Diagnosis — Analysis of your current processes and identification of quick wins.
  2. Recommendation — Selection of tools and the AI integration method.
  3. Execution — Operational setup by our experts.
